Who We Are

RCCA / Who We Are

Rooted in Community

The Resource Center for Community Action (RCCA) is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families and individuals through immediate assistance and long-term economic empowerment. RCCA operates as a community hub, providing access to food, household essentials, emergency support, education, and entrepreneurship opportunities designed to strengthen stability and self-sufficiency.

RCCA addresses urgent needs through food pantry distributions, mobile outreach, and assistance with household essentials, rent, utilities, and basic living expenses. These services help stabilize households during times of hardship while creating pathways toward sustainable progress.
Beyond direct relief, RCCA is committed to economic empowerment and entrepreneurship. The organization supports aspiring and small-scale entrepreneurs through education, mentorship, resource navigation, and opportunities connected to community-based commerce and workforce development. RCCA believes entrepreneurship is a powerful tool for building income, ownership, and generational wealth within underserved communities.
RCCA also prioritizes youth and family development through educational enrichment, skills training, and community workshops that promote leadership, innovation, and long-term economic resilience.

Guided by experienced leadership and an engaged Board of Directors, RCCA was founded by the community and is operated in collaboration with local partners, volunteers, and donors. The organization is committed to accountability, transparency, and measurable impact—working to ensure communities not only receive support, but also gain the tools to thrive.
